  A Silent Birthday Song: THE GENERAL (1927)

Relive a piece of Marietta's history about a famous locomotive chase that started in Marietta. The silent 1926 flick, The General, is a comedic masterpiece starring Buster Keaton and featuring live organ accompaniment by Ron Carter. The evening's program also includes: the Little General Cloggers, Russell Bonds, author of Stealing The General, and Harper Harris, lead interpreter at the Southern Museum in Kennesaw. Organ pre-show by Phillip Allen. A very limited number of special tickets are available for $15 and include a tour of the room where the "great locomotive chase" began at the Marietta Museum of History by Don Cox and Harper Harris.

self-identity, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse, and perseverance.
 
Graduates of the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts have performed in 29 Broadway shows in addition to numerous national and world tours. In the last five years, CCCEPA graduates have received over $10 million in scholarships to  America's most competitive colleges, universities and conservatories.  CCCEPA's most recent show, AIDA, was a sell-out and was proclaimed "one of the best shows ever performed by Pebblebrook."
