Fourth of July 2007

The Strand made quite a showing in Marietta's Fourth of July Parade! The Strand's chairman, Earl Smith, and wife, Rachel, arrived in a 1932 hot red Roadster and led a pack of three replica antiques in red, white and blue (provided by Entertainment Design Group). Meanwhile, performers from Pebblebrook High School were decked out in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" costumes and accompanied the cars in style. They later performed showtunes at at Glover Park. The Strand's wonderful volunteers enjoyed working the information booth and chatting about The Strand's past and future.
