Auditions at the Strand!

The Earl Smith Strand Theatre is holding auditions in February for The Vegas Show and A Tribute to Motown. Performers must be at least 17 years of age and must attend all show rehearsals. Auditions for acts and singers are February 1st, 8th, and 15th from 6 to 9. Strong dancer auditions are February 18th from 11 to 2. All auditions are by appointment only and will be held at The Strand. All performers who are cast will receive a small stipend. Please call the Box Office to sign up.

INTERNSHIP: Theater Education Programs ('11-12 Year)

The Strand Education Program seeks High School interns to assist with various education programs and drama clubs during the school year. This is a great way to learn what goes on behind the scenes in a theater and experience a variety of different career paths within the arts. Interns will be involved in stage managing shows, planning curriculum, developing marketing, and assisting the educational director in various ways. Interviews begin August '11.

Part-Time Facility Staff

Will begin work on or before August 24, 2011. Responsibilities include general custodial duties, minor event assistance, and minor maintenance in addition to other miscellaneous duties to keep the building in a safe and sanitary state. Must be detail-oriented. Must have reliable transportation. Avg. 30 hours/week. Must have weekends available.
