Gabriel's has been baking wedding and groom's cakes for 12 years with our growth due primarily to word of mouth – the best method of advertising. Gabriel's baked from scratch, home style recipes are the same as when Johnnie Gabriel first opened the doors 13 years ago and hired professional decorators. That means the cakes taste as good as they look. The staff at Gabriel's strives to provide every bride and groom as close to possible, with the cakes of their dreams that fit their budgets.
When Gabriel's began serving meals instead of "just desserts," the company hired professionals to execute the homemade quality recipes that have made the restaurant a daily haunt for your friends, neighbors, and local elected officials.
A Gabriel's catering menu might include tidbits such as mini tomato sandwiches; southwestern cheesecake spread or marinated shrimp. George Brown's pork tenderloin is a favorite from Johnnie Gabriel's cookbook Cooking in the South and is often found on her dining room table at home for her personal guests as well as on Gabriel's catering menu. Delicious salads and/or vegetables accompany other entrees varying from a southern favorite of fried chicken to perfectly roasted beef tenderloin. A final course of our made from scratch desserts, whether it be wedding cake or éclairs will round out your special event.
Gabriel's will accommodate your event with as few or as many servers as you like. The servers are always attired in black and white with the one goal of providing you with exceptional food and service.
Gabriel's reputation for mouth-watering desserts has been well documented by numerous awards in Atlanta Magazine's Best of Atlanta editions along with publication of recipes in national magazines such as Cooking with Paula. Johnnie Gabriel has cooked with America's beloved Southern chef on Paula's Best Dishes and Paula's Party. Johnnie's cookbook, Cooking in the South with Johnnie Gabriel, is in its second printing. As recognized by The Knot, Gabriel's reputation for delicious and artistically executed wedding and groom's cakes is a point of pride for everyone at the restaurant.
