Based on the popular cartoon character, this family-oriented "ghost story" is about a
not-so-scary spirit who bonds with a little girl (Christina Ricci).  A greedy heiress inherits the haunted Whipstaff Manor and discovers that the house contains a treasure, which is guarded by three mischevious ghosts and their friendly nephew Casper. Ghost therapist Dr. James Harvey, and his daughter Kat, move into the mansion to get rid of the supernatural creatures, and Kat and Casper soon become pals.
